Cubiker Desk: A Great Desk For Small Minimalist Setup

Creating a Functional Minimalist Desk Setup for Kids

Hey there! Today, I decided to make the most of my morning and repurposing a quick review video from my Howling Farms (Lifestyle/Homesteading) YouTube channel. In the video I purchased a small desk from Amazon and I thought it would be a great addition to my son’s limited space. In this post, I’ll walk you through the process of assembling the desk, share my thoughts on its design, and give you a glimpse of the final setup. I will say that the Cubiker desk is a great desk for a small minimalist setup!

The Plan

My son’s room is on the smaller side, so maximizing space is crucial. He wanted his dresser to remain in the room, but he also desired a dedicated workspace. After taking measurements and considering our options, we settled on a compact Cubiker desk that would fit perfectly into the available space.

Unboxing and Assembly

Upon unboxing the Cubiker desk, I found the tabletop, two main legs, supports, braces, and a side pouch for storage. The package also included all the necessary tools, hardware, and straightforward instructions for assembly. Despite a minor setback of installing one of the legs incorrectly, I managed to complete the assembly in about 15 minutes. The desk felt surprisingly sturdy, and I even tested its stability by shaking it a bit – it passed the test!

Features and Functionality

The Cubiker desk‘s design includes adjustable feet for leveling, a side pouch for storage, and an open back for easy access to electrical outlets. I appreciated the clear warning in the instructions about using the correct screws to avoid damaging the tabletop. Additionally, the ample 40-inch size of the desk allowed for the placement of a lamp, a laptop, and some room for creative activities.

The Final Workstation

After setting up the desk, we added a chair, my son’s laptop, and a few personal touches to create a functional and inviting workstation. With plenty of space for homework, drawing, and other activities, the desk proved to be a perfect fit for the room. The minimalistic design blended seamlessly with the existing decor, and the open back provided easy access to power outlets without any hassle.

Conclusion

Overall, the process of setting up this Cubiker desk was a breeze, and the end result exceeded my expectations. The desk’s durability, simplicity, and minimal footprint make it an ideal choice for small spaces and young users. As we move on to the next project, I’m confident that this new addition will serve its purpose well and withstand the test of time.

So there you have it – a successful desk assembly and a happy camper ready to tackle his schoolwork and creative projects. Tell me what you think! Make a comment on the YouTube video above and tell me if you think the Cubiker desk is a great desk for a small minimalist setup!
